  • 9th Grade: Building a Strong Foundation

    • Explore Your Options: Brainstorm your academic and extracurricular interests to identify potential colleges.
    • Test Prep Introduction: Take the Pre-ACT to familiarize yourself with standardized testing.
    • College Search Tools: Learn to navigate Scoir, our online college research and application management platform.

  • 10th Grade: Deepen Your Exploration

    • Standardized Testing: Take the PSAT to benchmark your academic progress and qualify for scholarships.
    • Develop Your Skills: Boost your test scores and college readiness with optional SAT/ACT prep classes.
    • College Fairs and Events: Connect with college representatives and gain valuable insights into the admissions process.
    • Spring Meeting: The College Counseling Department will host a Spring Meeting for sophomores and their families. Students will learn about using Scoir to build resumes, take career assessments, and research schools.

  • 11th Grade: Make Your Mark

    • Personalized College Search: Work with Mr. Rybarczyk to craft a college list that aligns with your academic goals and financial needs.
    • Standardized Testing (Optional): Refine your test-taking strategies with additional SAT/ACT prep (if needed).
    • College Visits: Begin exploring your top choices and experience college life firsthand.
    • Formal Meetings: During the junior year, Mr. Rybarczyk will have three formal meetings with students. A Fall Meeting for juniors and their families, an individual student meeting, and a 1-1 for juniors and families. 

  • 12th Grade: Secure Your Future

    • Senior Seminar: Master the college application process, from crafting compelling essays to securing financial aid.
    • Expert Recommendations: Benefit from personalized letters of recommendation from Mr. Rybarczyk, highlighting your unique strengths.
    • College Acceptance and Beyond: Celebrate your achievements and receive guidance on navigating the next chapter.
