We are Lake Ridge Academy, the leading K-12 private independent school on Cleveland's West Side. We are known for our academic rigor, experiential learning, and small class sizes. Steps to Apply

If you are exploring school options for your child or want to learn more about Lake Ridge, you’re in the right place!
To get started, you can set up an account and apply, fill out an inquiry form to get more information, or schedule a tour on Preview Day! Our application opens on September 15th, and we recommend you complete your application by November.

In addition to a complete online application, students in grades 1-11 should also submit teacher recommendations and school records through our Parent Portal. Once we receive your documentation, a student shadow day will be scheduled.

  • Step 1: Apply & Inquire

    Create an account and apply, including submission of teacher recommendations and school records, or submit an inquiry for more information.

  • Step 2: Testing

    For students entering First Grade, we will schedule a day for your child to come to campus and complete in-person literacy, math, and writing assessments. Students entering Second to Eleventh Grade should register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Lake Ridge Academy is one of many ISEE test sites. Our school code is 363857 if students entering Fifth through Eleventh Grade plan to test here. A schedule of all available ISEE test dates, locations, deadlines, and registration information is available by visiting the ISEE website.

    You can also take the ISEE Online from the comfort of your own home! When searching for available test dates, select "Prometric Test Date" at the "Prometric Testing Center" at the top of the screen and click the green "Register" button. When you are asked if you want to "Register for a Prometric Test Center" or "Register for a ProProctor At Home Test", select the ProProctor At Home test option and complete your registration. We recommend that you complete ISEE testing by November.

  • Step 3: Decision

    Admissions decisions for new students will be announced in February. Enrollment contracts are issued and space is reserved on a first-come basis determined by the date stamp on the return of the completed contract and deposit. Waitlisted students will be notified as space becomes available. 

    Admission is based on academic merit and personal qualifications. Lake Ridge Academy admits students of any race, color, sexual orientation, religion, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
